Absolutely! (And don't forget to check out our latest special offer) The design of your Web site is free, there's no fixed-term contract and we don't add VAT to our prices. You can even have a free Web site name. The only payment over and above the monthly hosting fee that you might want to make (it's completely optional) is to have a special Web site name such as yourname.co.uk which only costs £7.65/€10.45 per year (.com and .ie Web site names can cost a little more).

The only "catch" is that we don't want people to walk away with a free design and then try to avoid paying the monthly hosting fee by using someone else's servers. You can only use the free Web site design on our servers. To ensure that, we will retain the copyright to the design. Of course, you still keep the copyright on anything that you create and you can always buy the copyright to the design from us at any time.

how much does it cost to purchase a web site design?

All of our designs are provided free of charge. Once we finish a design, and you say that you are happy with it, we then give a final cost for the purchase of the copyright if you want to do this at any time in the future. We will give you this price before you are required to sign up for the monthly subscription. Most of our designs fit into a bracket of £475/€715 to £800/€1200 depending on complexity.

You have the option to purchase the design at the specified price at any time, irrespective of changes such as price increases, changes in ownership, etc.

once the design is completed, how much does it cost to add a new page?

Although we create the initial design for free, if you need any extensive changes at some time in the future we may make a charge for these. Chargeable changes incur our standard hourly rate of £50/€75.

We will update your site with purely text based changes and additional pages provided by you free of charge for the foreseeable future. Changes that require structural alterations to an existing design are the only items that we would contemplate charging for, and so far no one has ever asked for such a change.

Note that we don’t track your position in Google after a site has gone live, and requests for extensive analysis and recommendations for improvements purely for Google positioning may be chargeable, although we have never yet had to charge for this activity (for comparison, there are SEO organisations charging anywhere from £30/€45 to £100/€150 per month for such work - our experience is that such organisations offer little in the way of justifiable value).

how long does the special offer last for?

Any special offers that we run are for the life of the product. If you have signed up for a subscription at £12/€15 a month, then your price will stay at £12/€15 a month for as long as you are with us.
